Singer/songwriter Mike Rocket belts out the pleasant songs in a nicely clear and soothing voice. Rocket's songwriting gets straight to the point and effectively mines a moving line in rueful reflectivity. The tightly harmonic arrangements likewise do the trick with a certain amiable directness...
