Mike Rocket And The Stars (aka Mike Rocket & The Jerseys) are a rock,pop, jam band based in northern New Jersey. Their music is appealing to a wide audience. It has been heard several times on national television and on major New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, & satellite radio stations. The shows are packed with energy and songs people can sing to. Mike Rocket also performs solo at various places around the country as a singer-songwriter. Rocket's best known song,"Gotta Get To The Jersey Shore", which was co-written by Victor Cornette, was briefly among the Top 10 Bestselling mp3 downloads in Roots Rock & in the Top 100 miscellaneous songs at Amazon.com. The song, which was almost used as the New Jersey tourism commercial, but which lost out to Bon Jovi's "Can't Go Home", has been heard on several television and radio stations and shows including: The Early Show (CBS), 95.5 WPLJ NY, 101.9 WRXP NY, Fox Across America, Fox 5 NY, Sirius,G-Rock Radio,95.9 WRAT, NJ 101.5, Upstage Radio,The Jersey Todd Show, 93.3 WMMR & Radio 104.5 Philadelphia, 92.3 K-ROCK NY, & WTMD Maryland. A special rap/rock version of the song has been used on DJ Whoo Kid's Hollywood Saturday's on Shade 45 (Sirius) as well as 66 XM Raw. Mike has appeared six times on The Early Show on CBS. Dave Price has been continuously promoting Mike and the band- "He's Incredible....They're terrific. Go check them out." Mike's song "America's Got Talent" has aired on THE TODAY SHOW at least 12 times in the past three years & on at least eight episodes of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno over the past five years. Rocket has been nominated three times for The Asbury Music Awards. Mike Rocket is expected to play young Springsteen in the movie Exit 102. Rocket performed his song, "I'm The Guy" at the world famous Apollo Theater. Shortly after, the legendary Ben E. King told Mike, "I heard you cooked it up."
